• 春季学期这个周日（1月21日）开始，除了“美国华人历史”一课外，所有的课星期天都开始上课。
• 如果需要退课，请在星期天开学之前e-mail我，学校开始上课后，将不接受任何退课申请。
• 请登录学校网站，查询自己的家庭缴费情况，并将欠款缴清。如果仍有credit在学校，可以在payment history下选择退款方式，每个家庭缴交的$50 safety patrol deposit，除了特殊情况（比如搬家、回国）外，学校将在五月份统一处理退款，请留意学校发出的值班通知或上网查询值班安排，没有履行值班义务的家庭，将不退safety patrol deposit。如果需要特定的日子值班，请和safety@ynhchineseschool.org联系，学校将尽量满足。
• 学校网站上已经更新本学期的校历，由于4月15日南康大学有重要活动，中文学校需要停课一次，本学期顺延一周到5月20日结束，敬请留意。
• 学校第十一届春节联欢会将于2月4日举行，届时12:15开始在Engleman Hall游艺活动，今年的活动更多更精彩，详细情况将在下周通知；2:30开始，表演活动将在Lyman Center举行，请大家注意，今年的演出从2:30开始。
• 《侨报》从2012年开始，每年都举办美国少儿儿童中文大赛，赛事为初赛、各赛区复赛和总决赛，今年的总决赛将在1月20日，本周六，也就是明天举行，今年首次进行网路直播，时间为中午12点到下午4点，进入纽约侨报网ny.uschinapress.com，在页面最上方，点击即可收看。
• 每年，《侨报》还从复赛和总决赛选手中吸收优秀成员加入侨报小记者俱乐部，平时会组织采访活动，并在《侨报小记者报》上择优发表文章，每年暑假，优中选优，选拔20位小记者赴中国采访。２０１８年的比赛马上就要开始，请有兴趣的家长和我联系。
• “曹灿”杯中文朗诵大赛12月18日在人民大会堂拉开序幕，有兴趣参加朗诵比赛的，也请和我联系。
• 侨办主办的“寻根夏令营”已经有部分夏令营接受报名，名额有限，先到先得，所以请家长留意学校通知，（详情请参考我上周的通知），为了能够更快的注册，请有兴趣的家长先在中文学校协会的网站上注册一个帐号。报了名的家长，请记得给我一个邮件备案，以便协会核对的时候能及时提供所需的信息。
• 星期天中文学校见！

• The Spring Semester will begin this Sunday (Jan 21). All courses will start except for the course of "Chinese American History".
• If you want to withdraw a registration, please e-mail me before the class begins. No class can be dropped after the school starts.
• Please login to your account and check your family balance. It is your responsibility to pay off all fees, otherwise, additional penalty will be applied to your account. If you have credit, you can select the refund options under the menu of "payment history". The refundable safety deposit will be processed in May. If you did not do safety patrol as assigned, your deposit will not be refunded. Check your e-mail from safety@ynhchineseschool.org for your patrol assignment. You can also contact safety@ynhchineseschool.org or check your account online.
• The 11th Chinese New Year Gala will be held on Feb 4. We will provide a lot of games for children at Engleman Hall starting from 12:15 that day. The performance will start at 2:30 in Lyman Center. Please be aware that the performance starts at the different time comparing to previous galas.
• The school calendar is updated on the website. Since the classrooms are not available on April 15 due to the important event for SCSU, we will extend this semester to May 20. Please plan accordingly.
