Description: This class will expose students to 4 types of creative writing: short story, poetry, playwriting, and screenwriting. Students will share items of interest each week (photographs, artwork, trinkets, etc) which will be used as starting points for group discussion and writing exercises on story ideas, plot, character development, description, and dialogue in relation to these genres. Students will finish the class having written their own short story, poem, play, and screenplay. All work will be done in class. γ漰ഴƷд ѧȤ㣬ݽĵýдддڿɡ Requirements: for Grades 6-10; 100 pack of ruled 3" x 5" multi-colored Index cards, pencil, pen, 2 college-ruled composition notebooks, and a ruler.
