Description: This course will follow the framework of Singapore Math Primary Math U.S. edition, with some additional materials related to Math Olympiads Contest (MOEMS). It emphasizes the importance of critical thinking and problem solving in math word problems. The students are expected to finish their weekly homework assignments, participate class discussion, and attend 5 in-class math competition throughout the school year. Topics covered include mathematical terminology, a review of prime numbers, fractions, decimals, percentage, ratios, proportions, and 2- and 3-dimensional geometry.
