SCCS Fall Semester Online Registration Now Available

Dear SCCS Members, I hope you and your family are having a wonderful summer. As the newly-appointed Deputy Principal of SCCS, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to serve our school. I hope to work together with you and your child/ren in the coming school year to promote Chinese language and culture, and to build a stronger community. After a lot of hardwork from our staff during the summer, the online registration for Fall Semester is now available. Please log in using this link: http://www.ynhchineseschool.org/prod_v08/MemberAccount/MemberLoginFor m.php If you forget your log-in ID and/or password, you can either click on the retrieve link on the log-in page or send an email tosupport@ynhchineseschool.org. If your family does not have an online account, please click register link on the log-in page to register a parent to the school first, then add in other family members once the parents account is approved. I highly encourage you to register as soon as possible since spaces are very limited for some of our classes. As we did before, your child has already been assigned to a Chinese language class based on his or her end-of-semester grades, teacher recommendation and other factors. Requests for switching classes usually are not considered unless there are compelling reasons. In order to meet the diverse needs of our students, this year we add several new enrichment classes, including Chinese Chorus (Instructor: Ming Yuan), Computer Programming (Instructor: Judy Carten), Calligraphy (Instructor: Ning Xie). Two additional enrichment programs, Science Workshop by Eli Whitney Museum and SAT Class by Bulldog Tutors, are still in the stage of finalization and more information will be provided shortly. Please note that the final list of the enrichment program we offer this year is subject to change. We will have to cancel the class if the number of registered students is less than 8. Once you complete online registration, please remember to mail your payment (check only) with the payment voucher to the address listed on the voucher. Please do it before the school starts in order to help us reduce the workload on the first day of school. Last but not least, it is confirmed that our school will start on Sunday, September 8th, 2013. The enrichment program (i.e. non- Chinese language classes) will begin a week later on September 15, 2013. The school door will be open at 12:30 P.M. and the first class will start at 1:20 P.M.
