万圣节就要到了，为了给孩子们创造一个轻松愉快的节日环境，经行政和理事会讨论，决定这个周日下午欢迎学生和家长们穿着万圣节的服装来学校上课。PTA特别为孩子们准备一些糖果，请告知您的孩子（们），1:30-4:30有时间可以到一楼的cafeteria领取万圣节的糖果。希望大家能够积极地鼓励您的孩子（们）穿着万圣节的服装与大家一起庆祝这个孩子们喜欢的节日！

本周日，学校将举办教师培训，12:20-1:20是针对新老师的培训，欢迎有意从事中文教育的或者希望了解如果教自己孩子中文的家长也来参加，你会发现很有收获。地点A109。

学校今年还会举办认字比赛，请家长平时和孩子多练练认字和组词、造句。具体比赛日期，另行通知。

Dear SCCS members,

Halloween is coming. This coming Sunday (10/28), you and your kids are welcome to dress up Halloween costumes to the Chinese School. Candies will be served at the cafeteria between 1:30 and 4:30. Let’s celebrate this kids’ favorite holiday together on Sunday!

The school will have new teacher training from 12:20 to 1:20 this Sunday at A109. Anybody who wants to learn how to teach Chinese is welcome.

We will also organize Spelling Bee competition this year. Please prepare with your child(ren). The date for the competition will be announced soon.
