Thank you for taking survey on the school name change issue. While there is majority people who support Southern Connecticut Community Chinese School, there are overwhelming suggestions to use a simpler name: Southern Connecticut Chinese School (南康中文学校) even it is not in the choices we provided. After discussing in the school board, the administrative team, PTA leadership team and searching the possible conflict with other similar names, we decide to change the school name to: Southern Connecticut Chinese School (南康中文学校) We will file the necessary documents to the corresponding governmental agencies. Before the new determination letter of 501(C)3 status is received, please continue to use the old school name to make your donation to our school. We are also calling for the design of the school logo. The school logo will be used in school documents, website and beyond. It will be a great honor if your design is chosen to represent our school. Please encourage your child(ren) to participate. Please submit your artwork to the school office A-105 or e-mail your electric file to logodesign@ynhchineseschool.org by Nov 23. By submitting your design, you automatically transfer every right of the artwork to Southern Connecticut Chinese School. Here are some guidelines: 1. The school logo needs to include both school English name and school Chinese name. 2. Do not put your name on the front of your artwork (write your name in the back if you submit artwork in paper, or name your file with your name). 3. For E-file, please only provide image file (jpg or so, file size should not exceed 2MB). If your artwork is selected, higher resolution file will be needed (the following file format is acceptable: Illustrator AI file, Photoshop file, or image files). 4.
